Parc du Chemin Blanc [Roye 3]

The Chemin Blanc wind farm, part of Virya Energy’s (ex-Eurowatt) Roye development cluster, commenced operations in December 2017 with 10 MW of Vestas capacity. Situated in the Somme department’s productive agricultural plains, the site experiences excellent wind exposure with minimal turbulence, thanks to the flat topography characteristic of this region. Community consultations were integral to the project design, with turbine placement carefully considered to minimize visual impact on nearby villages while maximizing energy output. The Vestas turbines selected for this installation feature advanced grid integration capabilities, contributing to the stability of the local electricity network.
