Sanchore

The Sanchore wind farm, located in Itnal, Karnataka, represents Korys’ first renewable energy investment in India with 40 MW of installed capacity across 20 Gamesa wind turbines. Commissioned in March 2018, this installation marked an important milestone in Korys’ Asian expansion strategy and demonstrated the company’s commitment to developing renewable energy assets in high-growth markets. The project was initially developed and constructed by Gamesa, leveraging proven turbine technology optimized for the wind conditions of Karnataka’s interior plains. Karnataka is one of India’s leading states for wind energy development, with favorable wind resources and supportive regulatory frameworks that make it an attractive location for renewable energy investments. The Sanchore project contributes to India’s ambitious renewable energy targets while generating clean electricity for the regional grid.
