Parc du Rio 2 [Beaulencourt]

The Rio 2 wind farm in Beaulencourt, operational since April 2020, complements its neighboring installation with 10.8 MW of Nordex turbine capacity. Developed by Virya Energy (ex-Eurowatt), this project represents the second phase of wind energy development in the area, building upon the success and lessons learned from Rio 1. The phased approach allowed Virya Energy to optimize turbine placement and maximize energy output while maintaining strong community relationships. The Nordex turbines feature advanced control systems that adapt to changing wind conditions in real-time, ensuring optimal performance throughout varying weather patterns. This dual-site configuration in Beaulencourt creates operational efficiencies and reinforces the region’s commitment to renewable energy transition.
