Parc du Bois de Morval [Hesdin]

The Bois de Morval wind farm near Hesdin, brought online in December 2017, harnesses 12 MW of capacity through Vestas turbines optimized for the region’s wind characteristics. Located in the Pas-de-Calais department, this installation benefits from proximity to coastal wind flows while avoiding direct marine exposure, creating ideal generation conditions. Virya Energy (ex-Eurowatt) worked extensively with the local community to ensure the project complemented the area’s rural character and landscape. The Vestas platform was chosen for its advanced aerodynamic design, maximizing energy capture even during moderate wind periods common in this transitional climate zone.
