Parc de l'Extension de la Haute Borne [Halluin]

The Extension de la Haute Borne wind farm in Halluin, commissioned in March 2020, operates 13.2 MW of Vestas turbine capacity in the Nord department. Developed by Virya Energy (ex-Eurowatt), this project extends the renewable energy capacity in a region known for its industrial heritage and transition toward sustainable energy sources. The proximity to the Belgian border allows this installation to contribute to cross-border renewable energy objectives while serving local electricity demand. The Vestas turbines feature state-of-the-art noise reduction technology, ensuring compatibility with nearby residential areas while maintaining high energy output levels throughout varying wind conditions.
