Fresenius Solar Canopy Project: 500 kW Installed Capacity on 2,272 m²

In alignment with the Renewable Energy Acceleration Act (Loi APER) promulgated on March 10, 2023, Fresenius has partnered with Léon Grosse Énergies Renouvelables to construct a 500 kW solar canopy system at one of its facilities. Spanning 2,272 square meters, this installation is projected to generate 549 MWh annually, directly powering Fresenius’ operations through a self-consumption model.

Executed under an off-balance sheet contract with variable rent, the project exemplifies Fresenius’ commitment to sustainable energy solutions and compliance with renewable energy legislation. By leveraging photovoltaic technology, this initiative not only supports decarbonization but also enhances energy autonomy for the healthcare and medical equipment manufacturer.
