Algaïa

Algaia’s production facility in Finistère lies at the heart of the marine biotechnology industry and is dedicated to the valorization of brown seaweed harvested from the Iroise Sea, in order to supply seaweed extracts for a wide range of industrial applications.

As part of the construction of its new 4,000 m² seaweed biorefinery extraction building, and in line with its commitment to corporate social responsibility, Algaia has entrusted Virya Energy with the installation of a 299 kWp photovoltaic power plant on the roofs of the new buildings. The electricity generated will be entirely self-consumed on site. The photovoltaic system will be installed upon completion of the construction works and is scheduled to be commissioned in early 2026.
