Financial Analyst Japan

The Financial Analyst will play a key role in analyzing financial data, preparing forecasts, and providing insights to support business decisions. This role requires strong analytical skills, proficiency with financial modeling, and an understanding of the renewable energy sector, particularly solar cell manufacturing. 

Location: Japan

Responsibilities:

  • Financial Planning & Analysis:
    o Develop and maintain financial models to forecast the company’s financial performance, including revenue, costs, and cash flow. o Analyze financial results and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends, risks, and opportunities. o Provide financial insightsto support decision-making, strategic planning, and budgeting.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting:
    o Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and periodic forecasts.
    o Track actual performance against the budget, highlighting variances and recommending corrective actions.
  • Market & Business Analysis:
    • Research market trends, industry benchmarks, and economic conditions impacting the solar cell industry.Perform financial analysis of potential business opportunities, including investments, acquisitions, or new product lines.
  • Cost & Profitability Analysis:
    • Analyze production costs and recommend strategies to improve profitability and reduce expensesSupport pricing decisions by evaluating cost structures and profitability scenarios.
  • Reporting & Presentations:
    • Prepare and present financial reports, dashboards, and presentations for management and key stakeholders.Collaborate with different departments to gather financial data and provide actionable insights.
  • HSSE:
    • Ensure financial activities align with the company’s HSSE standards and sustainability goals.Incorporate HSSE considerations into financial planning and reportingSupport cost-efficient safety and environmental initiatives through financial analysis.

Qualifications:

The qualifications for the job are the following: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; master’s degree or certification (e.g., CIPS) preferred.
  • 5+ years of procurement or supply chain management experience, ideally in the renewable energy or solar industry.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes, contract management, and supplier relations.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office.
  • Good command in English both writing and speaking.
